Summer Love

Well, it has been a fabulous summer, and while it is not over yet, it is coming to an end. I have enjoyed great times with my children. However the famous black rain cloud has arrived. I received my pay check in the mail today and it included "my welcome back note" Which is a sure sign it is all coming to an end. I am very sad. But all I can do is think of all our fun times, and make plans for even better fun times next summer!

I Get up, But I can't Get Dowm...

Jack, when he wakes up in the morning, pulls himself up. When he realizes that he doesn't know how to get down, he gets nervous! Then Momma comes in and he smiles!
Then he gets brave...I don't need my Momma to recue me. But he does need to be rescued, we have caught him on the third step, stuck behind the couch, under the kitchen table, reaching for the third self, there is no end! Keep on growing little one!

The Cubs Game

Annabelle went with her Dad and our friends Joe and Jada to The Cubs Game on Saturday. They had lots of fun!
The Girls with Harry!

The whole group. What a great picture.
The girls were spoiled rotten. They got lots of stuff.
When Annabelle came home she was hyper. I asked her what she ate. She replied. Pizza, Nachos, hot dog, cotton Candy, liquorish rope, chocolate ice cream, dippin dots, Italian ice, ...oh and coke!"
They each got a cubs bear. How cute!

I'm A Big Boy Now!

Look at me! I can pull myself up and play with my activity table. I love it! I have so much fun. I love to smile and laugh. I am such a happy little boy!
I think that I am the bees knees and the flies thighs!
Oh, did I mention that I also discovered I can stick my tongue out and I do it all the time!
Sometimes I do it when I am concentrating and sometimes I do it to make people laugh!
When my Mommy tells me to stick out my tongue I do it!
Notice the empty shelfs behind Jack. We cleared the first two shelf thinking it would be a long time before he could get to the third shelf. What were we thinking?? We will be clearing the third tomorrow!
Jack is growing bigger and bigger day by day. I love to see him grow and learn new things. It puts a smile in my heart. He is such a happy little boy with the sweetest, happiest personality that gets bigger and bigger every day.
See the video below for some more happy giggles and tongue action!

Brookfield Zoo Again!

Thursday we went to the zoo. The weather was not super hot so we decided it would be a good day for the zoo. We went with our good friends The Sullivan's, and a couple of their friends! We saw lots of animals, a great dolphin show, and enjoyed good food and company.
Thanks for hanging out with us! A group shot by the beautiful fountain.
Annabelle and her cousin! Just kidding! If you look to the top of this picture you can see the baboon.

Jack and his sister! Who really is a little monkey!

Another group shot in the very smelly penguin area.

All the kids got to touch some real penguin feathers. They were surprisingly soft and fluffy.

HAPPY JACK!

The Dolphin Show. I didn't get a picture, but Jack squelled with delight the whole show. He loved it.

The last animal we saw was the lion. He was taking a nap. What a good idea, and so we all headed for home with the hope of a good afternoon nap!

Great Great America

Annabelle enjoyed her first trip to Great America on Tuesday. She had a blast! She went on every ride that she was tall enough for. Her most favorite was The Eagle. Go figure! She can't wait until she is tall enough for the big coasters. She has decided to try and eat all her vegetables so that she can grow faster. We'll see... Annabelle in line for The Giant Drop. She was so excited. Not even a little bit nervous. Her Mom on the other hand was having a panic attack!
Just before we climbed 200 feet ,to drop 200 feet! Again I had a sick feeling in my stomach, while Annabelle has a look of delight!

My nascar girl. She loved driving! God help us in 10 years!
We had a fabulous day, the weather was cool, the rides were hot, and we can't wait till the next Great America adventure. Some of us more than others!

Big Easy

Big easy... or not so much... Jack has learned to pull himself up on things.
It's big. It's easy, I can do it. I did it , but now I am up I can't get down! And so I will pull myself up and on to much bigger things.
The only problem I have is, once I am up, I can't get down!
I pose to look cool, but I am really stuck!

So Mom and Dad help me out, and fear what is to come in the future!!

Old Photos

I found a memory card in my video camera today.
I guess I took a bunch of pictures before Jack was born and forgot about them!! I have No recollection! That's what a pregnant body will do to ya!

O.M.G. Nobody freak out! It is a picture from 2007, not 2008. I am not pregnant!
( I love this picture because my LITTLE girl anxiously awaits her LITTLE brother, but I hate it because I look like a BUS. )
She kept hugging my belly, and repeating that she can't wait to meet Jack!
I agree, I couldn't wait to meet him too!

I decided this is my most most favorite picture of Annabelle to date. I think it is the cutest! It was taken last August right before my first baby started Kindergarten.

See What Happens!!!

How proud I am! I dressed myself...and I followed all of my Moms rules...Blue with blue, denim with anything and ankle socks with shoes that are low cut!
This is what happens when you tell a 6 year old that everything matches denim! Just for today, I will alow you to wear what you want to,
and I will smile and tell you that you look beautiful!
Because no matter what you wear you will always be beautiful to me.
I love you very much: Mom xox

My Buddy Jack!

Jack was very happy to go on a play date with his friend Jack .S. yesterday. It was all very interesting for the boys! Jack.S. was born a few days after our Jack. His Mom and I talk on the phone all the time comparing notes on what the boys are doing and not doing!!! Yesterday seeing them together we realized that they are definitely on par with each other. O.K. my Jack might be a couple of pounds heavier but besides that, they both have no teeth, they both crawl and get into spots they shouldn't. They both have a very happy disposition.
They enjoyed checking each other out! Jack .M. just wanted to make sure that he couldn't get Jacks' ears to come off!
Jack.S. sucked Jack.M's toes to make sure they tasted the same as his!

What a handsome couple of little boys! I hope they will hang out together when they are bigger!

They even managed to share toys nicely. We had a fun day and look forward to our next play date. Thanks Michelle!

GO CUBS GO!

JAck loves hanging out with Dad and watching the cubs!

8 Months Old

Peek-a-boo!
I see you!

My little love is growing so fast.

We find it hard to believe that he is already 8 months old.

He is enjoying a summer of many firsts, including ice cream, jello, freeze pops, mashed potatoes, whole milk, birthday cake,to name a few!

Jacks Information:

Jack is almost crawling. So close! I think he will have it down in a day or two.

He has been drinking two bottles of whole Organic milk a day and loving it.

He gets really angry when we are eating dinner and he is not.

He loves ice cream!

He drinks his juice out of a sippy cup.

He is almost 24 lbs

He still has no teeth!
He sleeps with a blankie (The minute he gets it in his hands his eyes close.)

He is never cranky except when he is hungry.

His whole body shakes with delight when he sees a bottle.

I don't think he will walk at 9 months like his sister.

His favorite time of day(excluding meal time) is bath time.

He loves to play peek a boo and claps his hands when you sing pat-a-cake.

He squeals when you do Humpty Dumpty.

He is beginning to make strange and likes his Mom to be around as much as possible.

He sometimes cries when Mom leaves the room

He is the happiest baby in the world, he always has a big smile on his face.

He said his first word on July 4Th Da Da. He has been using it quite frequently, not sure if he knows what it means.

A Little Piece of Heaven

We spent the week of July 4Th lake side in Culver. We had the best time ever! Thanks to Uncle Rich and Aunt Carrie for having us! Annabelle enjoyed lots of water sports. Jack enjoyed lots of long naps due to all the fresh air, and Mom and Dad enjoyed relaxing. Here is one of the many times Annabelle went on the tube. Every morning when we arrived at the boat Uncle Rich would ask "Is anyone tubing today?" Annabelle always answered "I am"
Annabelle, and her cousins Shane and Danny enjoying some fun on the wave runner.

Everyday around one Uncle Rich would decided that he had to go to the Marina for some reason or another. We now know that is was just an excuse for him to get an ice cream. However we quickly learned that kids, hot weather, ice cream, and a new boat are not a good combo, so after the first ice cream stop we began to encourage candy instead.

Lunch at the marina. Meet Jacks girlfriend cousin Bridget. He loves her!

Jack eating ice cream. I tried to get his attention so he would look at the camera, but he wouldn't take his eye off the ice cream!

We kept waiting for baby brain freeze because he would scream every time we took it out of his mouth, but no brain freeze.
What fun to eat ice cream and getting all dirty. One of the best things to do on a hot afternoon at the lake.

Annabelle and her Dad enjoying the wave runner. Annabelle only wanted to go faster and faster!

Jack enjoying a cookie while everyone else was busy building a giant sand castle.
The final product was quite impressive!
It took them a long time to build this great sand castle. It even had a mote and water running around it.
Jack enjoying so splash time with his Dad.
Annabelle and her Dad playing around in the tube, that happens to say Go Cubs" on the side. Yeah!
Annabelle on the wave runner begging to go alone. Not in this life time honey!!
Mom and Jack sharing a pretzel while Uncle Rich is driving really fast!
Captain Annabelle. Driving the speed boat with Uncle Rich.
Dad and Jack enjoying some time swimming at the sand bar where we would dock the boat to hang in the water.
Dad and Jack laughing out loud on the boat.
We had the best week ever. We were sad to leave and can't wait for the next time. Thanks Prendergasts for having us.
See below the video of Annabelle tubing.
